| The Almon
Story |
|
Almon Associates is an engineering
and surveying firm with offices
in Tuscaloosa and Birmingham,
Alabama, providing professional
services to clients over a wide
geographical area for 50 years.
The firm was established in 1956
by Mr. Alsey C. Parker. In its
early years the firm concentrated
primarily on municipal engineering
and was responsible for such notable
projects as the first sewage collection
system for the City of Tuscaloosa
and the planning and design of
the North River Water Supply project
(Lake Tuscaloosa). Bob Almon joined
the firm in 1958 and was actively
involved in the planning and implementation
of these major projects. After
the death of Mr. Parker in 1969,
Almon purchased the firm from
the Parker Estate and assumed
the management responsibilities.
A period of reorganization and
rebuilding followed, during which
the management top quality professionals
representing the various areas
of expertise as Associates of
the firm, adding depth and strength. |
|
Today Almon is owned by
five principals that purchased
the firm from Mr. Almon.
The principals have appointed
“associates” that must be
a registered professional
experienced in his/her field
of practice, and have the
authority to contract and
do business for the corporation.
We have associates practicing
in each discipline of civil
engineering and surveying.
All projects undertaken
by the firm are managed
by one of these associates.
